The worst experience is your child becoming ill and disabled and you can’t do anything other than be there for them and never give up hope. My son was a healthy 25 year old, newly married with a baby. A career in the police force attainable as he was a Special Constable and just applying to the force. Everything to live for. Suddenly one day he collapsed in pain, his words, like a ton of bricks landed on his chest. He was diagnosed with costochondritis. Inflammation of his chest cartilage. However he got worse over the years and from a healthy young man he was in so much pain, in bed alot, taking morphine and other daily strong drugs and reliant on a mobility scooter. His marriage broke up and I had to be around for him with his daughter to enable him to have her. Playing with her limited. It broke my heart and his career was not possible. I couldn’t understand why this condition was so severe. After a variety of different treatments the only option was pain relief. In desperation we pursued for him private care in London, referred him to a thoracic surgeon. Further MRI scan showed widespread condition and therefore he couldn’t operate. (On reflection now that was a blessing). Tried everything possible and 7 years later we came across Will through a friend who had seen him. Life changing day for my son and our family. Will has saved his life, tears run down my cheeks as I tell his story. I now have a healthy son back, that plays with his daughter, can now look at a career, he laughs, enjoys life and he is in no pain and needs no medication. The mobility scooter a thing of the past. 16 months with Will, life changing. I make no apology for my long review. As a mum I cannot explain how everyday I look at my healthy son now with gratitude we found Will. My son now has everything to live for.Thank you so much.
